Florida Alternative Dispute Resolution

Association MediationSettling Disputes Outside of the Courtroom

In response to the steady rise in legal disputes the Courts in Florida often require all parties to these disputes to undertake mediation before a lawsuit proceeds to trial or arbitration. Pre-suit mediation is also often undertaken by the parties in an effort to reach a settlement prior to embarking on what may be a lengthy, expensive and uncertain trial process.

Mediation is usually voluntary, although participation may be mandated by contract or by the Court. Settlement, however, can never be mandated. When settlement is reached, studies show that mediated agreements are more likely to be complied with than decisions imposed by arbitrators or judges. This success may be due to the fact that the parties take an active role in the decision-making process.

Supreme Court Certified, Florida Dispute Mediator

At Florida ADR Corp., located in Naples and Hallandale Beach, we offer experienced mediation services in all types of disputes. Our founder, Anthony Korda practiced as a Barrister in the English Courts for many years before qualifying as an Attorney in California.
For much of his career, Anthony has participated in the mediation process as an advocate. Now, as a full time neutral and certified as a Circuit Court Mediator by the Florida Supreme Court, he applies his extensive experience to assist others in resolving their disputes.  Anthony recognizes how highly-charged and difficult legal disputes can become, as seemingly trivial matters can quickly escalate into prolonged and expensive courtroom battles.

Mediation Offers Many Advantages to Florida Litigants and Disputants

The aim of mediation, a form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), is to reduce congestion in the state courts of Florida. However, in addition, experience has shown that mediation saves time and money, is less adversarial and therefore less stressful and allows the parties to reach a settlement in an informal, more relaxed and completely confidential setting.
